Bird Lovers Wanted

In Uncategorized

Got some free time on your hands and looking for something to do? Can you tell the difference between a warbler and a blue jay a mile away just by its call? Then here’s a great opportunity to volunteer some time and help ID some of the beautiful birds found along the Merced River.

“Experienced birders with excellent call ID skills to participate in the avian survey along the Merced River being conducted by the Point Reyes Bird Observatory for the Merced River Alliance. Volunteers would need to commit to one morning a week. Volunteers in the upper watershed are needed from now through October (all year in the lower watershed if you know of anyone who might be interested.) If interested, e-mail Nancy McConnell (nimcconnell@gmail.com).”
