Current Yosemite Road Conditions
IMPORTANT: Winter conditions exist within Yosemite National Park. Roads are icy, and may have snow or water on them. You are required by federal law to carry tire chains when entering a designated chain control area. Tire chains may become mandatory at any time. Rental car agencies do not supply tire chains when renting vehicles. Tire chains may be purchased in neighboring communities but not all sizes are available as they sell out quick. It is recommended you stop at your earliest convenience to purchase the appropriate chains for your vehicle. Always carry warm blankets, extra food and water in your vehicle and leave an itinerary with someone who can call if you do not arrive at your destination on time. If your vehicle becomes trapped in the snow, stay with your vehicle. It is much bigger and therefore easier to spot. These tips may save your life.
