It’s going to be a beautiful week in the park.
Temperatures are expected to be mild at the start of this week with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and then warming to the low 80s towards the weekend.
If you’re headed up to the park this week the recommended attire is sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. Better bring lots of water too because it’s going to be sunny and hot!
Temperatures are mild with lots of sunshine throughout the week. Expect highs in the low to mid 70s with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. Saturday an unstable air mass is expected to make it’s way into California bringing with it cooler temperatures and the possibility of thunderstorms on Sunday.
After reading yesterdays weather forecast for the week I didn’t really figure I’d see this much rain and snow. Currently there is rain and snow falling on the western slope of the Sierra from Sequoia/Kings Canyon to Lake Tahoe. No word on road closures at this time (5am).
