Photo of the Day: Half Dome and Full Moon in January by Kristal Leonard

In Photo of the Day

Today’s Photo of the Day is a beautiful photo from Kristal Leonard.

Kristal: “I got out of work just in time to get this amazing sunset on Half Dome with the almost full moon rising next to it! I literally had to run from my house to the spot or I would have missed this!! That would have been so sad! I love winter sunsets and moonrises and don’t want to miss any of them!

High above, other clouds were also this color and reflecting it down to the ground. Even my skin was pink! The beach on the other side of the river had a little bit of frost on it as it had been a very cold day! It was one of my favorite sunsets in Yosemite!”

Great shot, Kristal! Thanks for sharing.
