In Morning Shot

Jason Armstrong is resposonsible for today’s Morning Shot. Jason got up early one morning and headed out before the sun was up to capture this beautiful shot of Yosemite Falls with some awesome color on the clouds. Great shot, Jason!

What’s up with the Morning Shot?
After considerable thought…OK, like 2 seconds…it occurred to me that in addition to just posting the weather for hikers it’d be useful to post astronomical data (sunrise/sunset, etc.) for photographers to help figure out shooting locations. So here it is! The new expanded forecast.

Sunny and hot. High of…ewwww…96F today and 100F tomorrow. Overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s. Slight chance of thunderstorms.

Sunrise – 6:17 a.m.

Moonset – 6:43 p.m.
