Hunters Fire Update
The Hunters Fire is now over 1300 acres and 20% contained. The fire is progressing mainly southward with some east and west progression.

It’s hard to believe but yes, that’s Half Dome from the Central Valley.

Weekly Weather Rundown May 28th – June 1st
Temperatures are mild with lots of sunshine throughout the week. Expect highs in the low to mid 70s with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s. Saturday an unstable air mass is expected to make it’s way into California bringing with it cooler temperatures and the possibility of thunderstorms on Sunday.

A wildfire in western Mariposa County has currently scorched 500 acres and is currently 0% contained.

Remembering
My dad was a paratrooper. He served in World War II in places like Carentan, Bastogne, Burchtesgaden and Berlin. After the war he re-enlisted as a reserve to train new recruits coming in the tactics he had learned and employed in the war. He never forgot the war.
