american flag graves veterans day

Remembering

Remembering

My dad was a paratrooper. He served in World War II in places like Carentan, Bastogne, Burchtesgaden and Berlin. After the war he re-enlisted as a reserve to train new recruits coming in the tactics he had learned and employed in the war. He never forgot the war. It was something he lived every day of his life.

Today I’d like to take a moment to thank all of our veterans. What you gave in service, whether peace time or war time, is more than a person should be asked to give. But you gave it because you could, not because you had to.

God bless you all.
