Judge Gives “Go-Ahead” for Yosemite Utility Project

Modbee.com: “A judge who stopped the rebuilding of Yosemite Valley utilities in July has given the green light to a large piece of the project.

U.S. District Judge Anthony W. Ishii decided to allow construction of a major utilities corridor for sewage, telephone and electricity lines between Curry Village and Yosemite Lodge in Yosemite National Park.

National Park Service officials said they asked for the change to protect the Merced River and help comply with a state cleanup order concerning past sewage spills, some of which emptied sewage into the river.”
