Bus Crash Kills 1, Injures 11
One passenger was killed and 11 people injured Saturday when a tour bus carrying students returning from a trip to Yosemite National Park hit a tree on Highway 41 north of Oakhurst.

Happy 100th Birthday NPS!
On August 25, 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed the act creating the National Park Service, a new federal bureau in the Department of the Interior responsible for protecting the 35 national parks and monuments then managed by the department and those yet to be established.

Fire Along Highway 41 Causing Delays
If you’re headed into the park this weekend via Highway 41 from Fresno be prepared to spend a little extra time on the road as fire crews are battling an 80 acre wildfire along Highway 41 just north of Coarsegold.
