Fire Along Highway 41 Causing Delays

If you’re headed into the park this weekend via Highway 41 from Fresno be prepared to spend a little extra time on the road as fire crews are battling an 80 acre wildfire along Highway 41 just north of Coarsegold.

The Serpa Fire started yesterday shortly before 1pm near Serpa Canyon Road and Highway 41. As of this morning the fire is about 80 acres in size and 30% contained. Motorists should use caution and expect delays as more fire crews are moving into the area. There are some road closures and mandatory evacuations in place. If that area is your destination you may want to check in with authorities to see what the situation is like where you’re headed. The road closures and evacuated areas are: Holly Ln, Mattie Fhy Rd,Mattie Fhy Ct, Cavin Ln, Vinnard Dr, Paulsen Ln, Snyder Rd, Romero Ln, Road 420, Sundance Dr, Sunset Dr, Sunset Pl, Thornberry Ponds Ln China Creek Way, Mudge Ranch Rd, Mudge Ranch Ln, Barcus Cir, Barcus Ct N, Barcus Ct S, Thornberry Summit Rd, Falcon View Ln, Falcon View Rd Cedar Mountain Ln, Los Arboles East side of Hwy 41 between The Broken Bit and Road 420.
