Highway 140 Closed Due to Fire
Highway 140 is closed west of El Portal due to a fire burning outside of Yosemite National Park. Currently there is no access to Yosemite Valley from Mariposa via Highway 140. Scalpers Charging a Hefty Fee for Yosemite and Half Dome Reservations
It’s been a problem since the first ticket to an event was ever produced – scalpers – and Yosemite isn’t immune to the problem. Recently permits to hike Half Dome that only cost a nominal $1.50 processing fee have begun showing up on Craigslist for as much as $50.
