The California Department of Public Health is reporting four additional cases of Hantavirus in visitors who stayed at the tent cabins in the Boystown area of Curry Village. Boystown has been closed indefinitely.
It’s unfortunate that with all big news stories, there’s a lot of misinformation being spread about the hantavirus outbreak in Yosemite. Don’t let the fear of the hantavirus ruin your Labor Day weekend in Yosemite. With a little information you’re as safe in Yosemite as you are in your own home.
Another visitor has died and a fourth case of hantavirus has been found.

The body of 6 year old Jacob Adams, who was swept into the Merced River on Wednesday, August 15 has been recovered today. The boys body was pulled from the water just 50 yards downstream from where he disappeared.
