What’s to Do this Weekend? (May 9 – May 11)

It’s Mother’s Day weekend and if you’re spending the weekend in the park with Mom here’s some things you can check do together.

Friday – May 9
Historic Ahwahnee Tour – Ahwahnee Hotel – 1:00 PM (1hr)
Learn about the history of the Ahwahnee while you stroll through it’s historical halls.
Sign-up at the Ahwahnee Concierge Desk (required).

Saturday – May 10
Art Workshop – Yosemite Art Center – 10:00AM – 2:00PM (4Hours)
Experience Yosemite through art. Presented by the Yosemite Conservancy, join with celebrated artist in a participatory workshop where you will not only get to experience Yosemite but you’ll actually be paiting as wel. This week’s workshop is presentedy by Marcy Wheeler and titlted ‘Yosemite Spring Landscape’.
$10 per visitor. Art supplies are available for purchase.

Sunday – May 11 (Mothers Day)
Yosemite Through the Eyes of a Buffalo Soldier, 1903 – Yosemite Theater – 7:00PM
Experience Yosemite through the eyes of a Buffalo Soldier, one of the first protectors of the park. Film and presentation are presented by Ranger Shelton Johnson. Tickets are available at the Valley Visitor Center Bookstore.
