What’s to Do This Weekend – June 27th – June 30th

This week there’s a special edition of the What’s to Do This Weekend due to the 150th Anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Act celebration taking place Monday.

Friday – June 27
Adventure Hike: Vernal/Nevada Falls – Curry Village Mountaineering School – 9:30AM – (6HOURS)

Take a hike to the top of Vernal and Nevada Falls. Tickets are available at any tour desk. Provided by DNC.

Saturday – June 28
Ask a Climber – El Capitan Bridge – 11:00AM (4HOURS)

Watch climbers on El Capitan through a telescope while a ranger answers your questions about climbing in Yosemite. This program is FREE and open to anyone. The walk starts at 11AM and lasts for 4 hours. Bring the kids. Telescopes are a great way to get them close to the action without ever leaving the ground.

Sunday – June 29
Stary Skies over Yosemite – 9:00PM (1.5HOURS)

Come explore the night sky over Yosemite! Constellations and star clusters and galaxies, oh my! Tickets and information available at any tour desk. Provided by DNC.

Monday – June 30
150th Anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Celebrations – ALL DAY

Various events will be happening throughout the park in celebration of this prestigious event. Expect the park to be crowded with visitors and media alike. Additional festivities will be taking place outside the park at various locations.
