Thinking About The John Muir Trail? Here’s One You’re Not Going To Want To Miss

Passing through some of the most beautiful and rugged country, the John Muir Trail epitomizes High Sierra backpacking to many a hiker. When I started researching the trail while planning a backpacking trip I looked through many, many books and one of the best I found was the“Guide to the John Muir Trail” by Thomas Winnett and Kathy Morey.

The book is full of maps, trail descriptions in both directions, and a mileage/altitude chart to help you plan your trip whether you’re just doing short hikes on the trail or you’re planing on thru hiking the whole thing.Check it out. This is one you’re definitely going to want to add to your library.

The John Muir Trail is on my list of must do before I die trips. I have been on a few miles of it here and there, but my dream is to hit the entire trail for a couple of weeks or longer.
Thanks for keeping this excellent Yosemite information blog going.
