I just read about this on Msnbc.com. They are closing more cabins at Curry Village because of a new study. This is sad. I hope they are able to relocate some of those cabins. I love staying at Curry.
Most of the cabins in the area that is closed are cabins that have been closed since the big rockfall. The new area just adds a few more. There’s still LOTS of cabins at Curry. You needn’t worry. The article was from AP who somehow got a copy of the report and release before anyone else. They wrote an inciteful article and headline that has confused many people. Unfortunately, since they broke the story before the release was sent out publicly, the AP story has been the one picked up by the mass media outlets and it’s creating an unreal image as to the extent of the closures.
