Edie’s Image of the Day: River mist

Merced River, evening light.  January 28, 2008.  (Cross posted from Little Red Tent)

Hello!  Loyd has offered me a chance to share my images with you, his readers. I’ll be queuing up images for daily posting, Monday through Friday each week. I hope you enjoy the images collected over 7 years of living in Yosemite. Mostly the images will be from Yosemite, but occasionally I’ll post images from my peripatetic wanderings across America.

I’d like to share a bit of doggerel that has informed my attitude for many years: from “Desiderata”, by Max Ehermann “With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.”

As a supplement to Desiderata, I would add the advice found here: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columnists/chi-schmich-sunscreen-column,0,4054576.column

    Congrats on the gig.

“Do not read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly!”. Thanks, Rich, that’s another one of my favorites.
