Here’s the official word from the NPS on what’s going on tonight with the Big Meadow prescribed burn that went nuts. “The Big Meadow (Foresta) prescribed burn jumped a holding line, has crossed the Big Oak Flat Road, and is now approximately 300 acres. Rock Fall in Yosemite (video)
Still waiting to see if anyone happened to grab their video camera and capture the rockfall behind the Ahwahnee but here’s a video from the 2008 rockfall that decimated part of Curry Village as seen from a climbers perspective almost directly across from the release point.
