• Tioga Still Closed But Almost Ready to Open Again

    Looks like Tioga Pass if plowed and ready for traffic again. No word on an opening date though. I’d guess really soon. You can see in the image above the sun is melting the snow causing rivulets of water to run across the road.

  • Half Dome Cables Come Down

    After this weeks storms National Park Service officials have decided to go ahead and take the cables down on Half Dome. The cables will be replaced next May as weather conditions permit.

  • Tioga Road Reopens

    The Tioga Road through Tioga Pass has reopened restoring a major east-west artery. All roads within the park are now open after this weeks storm.
