Morning Shot July 23 2009

Today’s Morning Shot was going to be my pick for Photo of the Day last night but it’s such a great morning photos I just had to make it the Morning Shot.

You definitely need to go read Sathish’s commentary about how he made this beautiful image.

As I waited, the blissful scene slowly unfolded before me: the sun started to light up the clouds, they all started with an deep orange glow which slowly spread across its width. I was all alone to enjoy the scene. With only the hundreds of swarming mosquitoes to give me company…

You can read the rest of it here. Beautiful shot, Sathish.

Today’s Forecast: Cooler with highs in the mid 90s. Possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours. Overnight lows around 64F.

Amazing shot! Having been there a few times, I know that there is no picture capable of capturing how incredible that place truly is.
