Hot Weather Brings Warnings From Officials

An excessive heat warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Sierra Nevada. If you plan to be out doors drink lots of water early an watch for dehydration. If you can try to stay inside and out of the sun.

If you plan on hiking watch for swift moving water and unexpectedly high streams. It only takes a few minutes for hypothermia to set in on even the hottest days so try to stay out of snow melt swollen streams and rivers.

Remember never leave pets or children in cars on hot days.

Thanks for the warning! I have been wanting to flyfish, but know with this warmer weather the streams must be way too high still, probably around the middle of June is a better bet. Great postings you have here as always! Keep it up and thank you for sharing!
