If you’ve never been through Tioga Pass you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s some of the most ruggedly beautiful country and there’s a reason it was included in Yosemite when Yosemite was established. Here’s an interesting video tour of the Tioga Road that I guess (from the title) was made using Google Street View footage.

Well, that certainly doesn’t look like the same Tioga Road that I drove down yesterday…

I usually drive it with my eyes closed anyway.
That was really very cool. I found myself wishing it had better views (particularly to the south) to take in more of the recognizable landmarks. What a great idea though.
