Get Into Yosemite FREE on September 30th, National Public Lands Day

Got the bug to go to Yosemite but you’ve got yard work you’ve been putting off for weeks? Need to get the boat cleaned and put away for the winter but you hear the majesty of Yosemite calling? Well let me make it easier for you, if you can wait a couple of weekends you can get into Yosemite FREE as part of National Public Lands Day.

National Public Lands Day is a day set aside when many visitors head out to our national and state parks and help clean up the areas they love. The event is usually held after the summer crowds have died down when our National and State Parks could use a little TLC.

To encourage people to participate the National Park Service has waived the entrance fee to all National Parks on September 30th.

Yosemite Facelift Junk by YCA

There are usually booths and activities within Yosemite Village and the Yosemite Climbing Association puts on the Yosemite Facelift where hundreds of visitors scour different areas of Yosemite removing trash.

So grab the family and your yard work gloves and head up to Yosemite on the 30th and help clean up the park while enjoying the beautiful fall air. Rumor is leaves are starting to change already. And, if you just want to get into the park free and don’t want to help pick up litter, well that’s fine too. You still get in free also.
