Yosemite Closing Due to Fire

Yosemite Valley, Wawona, Yosemite West, and the Mariposa Grove will be closed July 25–July 29 due to fire operations. The South Entrance and Glacier Point Road will be also closed. Highway 140 from Mariposa remains closed due to the Ferguson Fire.

The Tioga Road, Tuolumne Meadows, Hodgdon Meadow, the Big Oak Flat entrance, the Tioga Pass entrance, and Hetch Hetchy are open. Smokey conditions may exist even at higher elevations due to the Ferguson Fire.

If you’re traveling in the area or plan to be traveling in the area please contact your lodging before heading out. Evacuations are in place for Yosemite West, El Portal, and Yosemite Valley at this time. Yosemite Valley and all facilities within the Valley are not in danger.
