Ok.Granted the tag on the photo says the image was from July 1980 and I’m sure it was hot that year but…LADY WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??

Well, it is a nice butt!
The photo shows a person who appears to be enjoying the feel of warm sunshine on her skin.
The real question is: what are YOU thinking??
Skin cancer! Sunburn! Wind burn! And obviously it was thong weather not bikini weather.
Not sure what you are implying by the ‘what were you thinking’ caption? But the impression is that you are making negative comments about this person wearing a bikini and that is offensive and sexist and has no place in this blog.
@Jane If you knew anything about the outdoors you’d know that a bikini is not proper attire in the Sierra. Sunburn and serious skin damage can happen in a matter of minutes. 10 minutes of exposure at 6,000 ft where the atmosphere is thinner and light reflects off the polished glacial granite is the same as almost an hour at sea level. Proper attire is a loose, floppy long sleeve shirt of a light material that breathes, long pants, sturdy shoes that cover the feet and a wide brimmed hat to protect the ears. Of course, this is all information that’s come out since 1980 when the lady was pictured in the photo.
Now, I don’t mince words and I don’t go in for the politically correct crap. If you’re offended tough crap. Fortunately for the thinking, breathing America I get to decide what goes on this blog not you. I’m offended that you even think you have the right to tell me what I can and can’t post on my blog. Feel free to visit this site instead of MY blog from now on. Thanks.
Yes, the summer 1980 in US was very, very hot. Around 110 every day. Mopst people walked around half naked. People in shorts or bikini was just normal. I remeber I took the picture because of the contrast beteween the suntanned skin/red bikini and the bluish daze in the valley.
