Many visitors to Yosemite look at the nearly dry waterfalls and slow flowing rivers of late summer and think what a shame it is to have missed the grand floods of spring. Not fly fishermen though, for us late summer and fall is the perfect time to go fishing.
Almost every body of water in Yosemite holds fish, even some you wouldn’t expect thanks to vigorous plantings during the early 20th century. All you really need to catch fish is a California Fishing License, a pole, some kind of bait and some idea of what you’re doing.
