I just wanted to post and let everyone know that the South Fork Fire is continuing to burn east of Wawona but the evacuation order was lifted earlier this week.
If you’re staying in the area please call before you head up. Smokey conditions do exist within the park and are worse in the Wawona area than other places. Please use caution if you’re sensitive to pollution or smoke or have breathing difficulties. Trails in the area are still closed as the fire is burning in an easterly direction.
