The Ice Rink is Open – Winter is coming!

The weather is still relatively balmy, but for those of us Jones-ing for a bit of snow and the onset of ski season, the opening of the ice skating rink is one of the first signs that winter is rapidly approaching.  I’m not too much of an ice-skater, myself, but the spectacular location of this rink, with its front-row-seat view of Half Dome, definitely makes it a highlight for people enjoying Yosemite this time of year.   For people interested in joining the Winter Club, there are hockey and figure skating programs.  You might even get to see Edie swooping around the rink in her long red coat.  Bring your cameras.
So, while I am still enjoying the crisp autumn days, please join me in a little let-it-snow dance.  The Ice Rink is open – snow must be right around the corner.
