A wildfire, which was discovered Saturday afternoon, has closed the Highway 120 north entrance of Yosemite and has caused the evacuation of park guests, area residents, business owners and national forest service personnel along the Highway 120 corridor.

A hiker last reported in the Mammoth Lakes area just outside Yosemite’s Tioga Pass entrance may have made his way into the park and may be missing in the Tuolumne Meadows area.

What drew me to today’s Photo of the Day was the way the boardwalk. I like how it was mimics water flowing from Upper Yosemite Falls. It was only after I started posting it that I realized the shot was taken at midnight.
