The rocks have been cleared and the road is now open to traffic again.

Rockslide Kills Climber on El Capitan
At least one person was killed over the weekend in one of two rockslides Sunday on El Capitan. The fatal slide occurred about 9 a.m. The person killed was apparently climbing the south face of the iconic stone. A second rockslide occurred about seven hours later, according to witnesses.
