To date the fire has cost an estimated $102 million, destroyed 11 residences, 3 businesses, 97 outbuildings and continues to threaten over 1200 structures.

The Rim Fire is 80% contained but there’s still a lot of Northern Yosemite that’s closed.

Rim Fire 80% Contained, Evacuation Advisories Lifted
Great news for everyone who has been following, the Rim Fire has reached 80% containment. Evacuation advisories have been lifted along Highway 108 from Ponderosa Hills to Pinecrest.

Rim Fire Now More Than 70% Contained But Still Posing A Danger
As of last night the Rim Fire is over 70% contained but continues to pose a threat as high winds and extremely dry conditions within the Sierra persist.

Rim Fire Crews Holding Ground
The Rim Fire is now over 32% contained and is expected to be completely contained by September 20th. To date the fire has burned almost 200,000 acres, destroyed 11 residences/buildings and has been responsible for 4 injuries.
