Ribbon Fall: It’s Still There But Probably Not for Long

If you’re a denizen of Yosemite like I am then you’re probably pretty familiar with Ribbon Fall. Where is it? Well if you’re standing and looking at Bridalveil Fall on the Southside Drive simply turn around and it’ll be a little to the left of El Capitan.

Ribbon Fall is a seasonal waterfall fed by snowmelt and is prone to drying up early in warmer years.

Ribbon Fall in itself is special because it’s the largest, single drop water fall in North America falling a stunning 1,612 feet. Pretty cool. Go check it out before it’s gone though. Sunny, warm days are forecast for the next 2 weeks.
