I added 3 more photos to the set, since there are a few flatlanders or maybe Texans who seem to enjoy this stuff. The 1st and 2nd photos are from before the weekend storm.
The 3rd is a handsome and functional addition to an employee cabin. The blocks were made in the traditional way — using milk crates.

I’m one of those flatlanders that loves your pictures. Thanks so much for including them. I’ve got my first winter trip to Yosemite in a week. I’ve noticed the weather forecast which shows the temps climbing into the upper 50’s later in the week. What will that do to all this snow? Will flooding follow? What might I expect by Presidents Weekend? Thanks.
Great series, Brian. Thanks for the chilly (B-r-r-r!) look!
I would suspect that the snow will melt from the sunny side of the valley, especially on the valley floor. The bulk of the snow should remain on the shady side of the valley like Curry Village. The sun only has less than 30 min of exposure in Curry. It is almost always a good 10 to 15 degrees cooler in Curry than it is in Yosemite Village or over at the Lodge. There should be snow on the shady side for a good while.
