CENTRAL CALIFORNIA WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY…LIGHT TO MODERATE
PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE OVER THE MOUNTAINS.IN THE MOUNTAINS…RAIN AND SNOW WILL BEGIN IN THE YOSEMITE PARK
AREA BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT…OCCASIONAL LIGHT TO MODERATE SHOWERS ARE
POSSIBLE NEAR THE COLD FRONT AS IT MOVES SOUTH ACROSS THE REGION
WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. SNOW LEVELS WILL START
OUT AROUND 7000 FEET AND QUICKLY DROP DOWN TO AROUND 5000 FEET
OVER THE SIERRA BY THURSDAY MORNING BEHIND THE COLD FRONT. SHOWERS
ARE EXPECTED TO LINGER OVER THE SIERRA DURING THE DAY THURSDAY.
SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE 7000
FEET BETWEEN WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY AFTERNOON. SNOW AROUND 1
INCH IS POSSIBLE AS LOW AS 5000 FEET BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN THE
YOSEMITE PARK AREA. SOUTHWEST WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN WITH THIS SYSTEM. THE SNOWFALL
AND THE GUSTY WINDS WILL BRING WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS TO THE
