Today’s Photo of the Day is a wonderful shot by my wife of…my pants. We spend the day traipsing around taking pictures while the weather was nice. Below you’ll find the shot I was getting in position to take when the fatal mishap between my pants and a barbed wire fence took place.
If the shot looks familiar it should. I went out to Hall Road where Tony and Yvette both shot Half Dome to see for myself. Due to weather Half Dome wasn’t visible to the naked eye from that distance but a 200mm lens with a 2x teleconverter brought it out pretty nicely.

Where in Turlock is this location? Got cross streets or GPS long/lat??
Amazing.

The Flickr photo has a map location attached to it if you’re interested in checking it out. Basic directions: Take 99 to Keyes Road (between Modesto and Turlock), head east crossing Santa Fe and then Hickman Roads. Once you cross Hickman Road Hall is not too much farther down. It’s WAY out there.
Luckily you didn’t shred something more, eh, valuable. 🙂
Oh it was close. I have serious problems with barbed wire. It’s great for keeping cows, horses and Loyd’s in.
