Today’s Photo of the Day is actually one of those rare things, it’s my photo. I’m testing out some new photo editing plugins for Apples Aperture and this is the result. I’m not even going to show you the original image because it’s a little embarrassing. I think the results came out pretty good though. Unfortunately it’s lost some color and tone due it being rendered as sRGB instead of Adobe RGB and compressed as a JPG. All in all, I think it’s not so bad.
I’m also testing out a new blog editor called Blogo from drinkbrainjuice.com. Pretty nice for posting to Twitter and getting setup with your blog but when it came to editing the HTML to link in the photo from this post it didn’t perform so hot. Still has some bugs but it’s not bad so far.
Well so much for that. I had to go back to the tried and true MarsEdit to fix that which Blogo jacked up. For some reason it doesn’t respect the HTML of the author and instead strips it and adds its own formatting which is a hodgepodge of HTML and inline CSS. It added several DIV tags and some clears that shouldn’t have been there really messing up the post and the formatting and it didn’t even keep the category I set! MarsEdit is still the best at what it does and I’m going to recommend it to anyone who asks. Great job, Daniel.
