Photo of the Day: Olmsted Point by Kazuo Murata

I’m going to come right out and admit I’m a bit of a science nut. To me science, and in particular geology, is like a cop show where you’re trying to figure out what happened and why. Yosemite is fun if you look at it from that point of view. There’s lots of evidence for many different things going on! Bits of volcanoes over here, evidence of glaciers over there, seismic uplift over here. It’s wonderland if you love science!

I guess that’s why I picked this awesome photo of glacial polish from Kazuo Murata as today’s Photo of the Day. Awesome stuff.
