Today’s Photo of the Day came to us in a round about way from @kimberlyfaye. Kimberly retweeted the link posted by @matthewdlyons who took the photo. Confused yet? Don’t worry. Take a couple of deep breaths and stare at the beautiful photo of Half Dome and it’ll pass.
I think what really caught my eye with this photo is not only the great perspective or the way the photo is composed, but the tonality in the black and white. Too often you see black and white photos that aren’t adjusted properly and everything is a shade of grey with no whites and no blacks. Matthew’s photo has both ranging across the from one end of the scale ot the other. It’s something to think about if you’re getting into black and white photography.
