Photo of the Day: An Old Bride and an Easter Egg from Yosemite Steve

Though it may look like a recent photo of Bridalveil Fall todays Photo of the Day was actually taken around 1914 and is part of the US Geological Surveys library of photos. The USGS library contains many interesting photos from all across the United States documenting the geologic and geographic features that make this country so beautiful.

I happened across this collection after @YosemiteSteve pointed out this cool site, 100 Years in Tuolumne, a collection of photographs over the last 100 years in and around Yosemite. I really enjoyed looking at the photos of Lee Vining Canyon and seeing how much it’s changed. There are definitely more trees now.
