Pedestrian Bridge Saved By Yosemite Fund

The pedestrian bridge across Yosemite Creek has long been popular with visitors as millions of feet trample across it each year but when time finally took it’s toll on the bridge the Yosemite Association stepped up to the plate to donate the funds necessary to give the bridge new life.

MyMotherLode.com: “‘The decision to get involved with this project was easy because it is a pure safety issue,’ says Yosemite Fund Communications Manager Karl Kroeber. ‘This bridge is essential for getting people from one part of the Valley to another without getting them in contact with the road traffic that is directly adjacent on a separate bridge.’

Work on the new $434,000 bridge is expected to be completed early next year.”
