Tunnel View Rededication
Friday, October 24th the National Park Service will be rededicating the Tunnel View Overlook. The event begins at 10:45 with remarks by Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne, NPS Director Mary Bomar at 11. Half Dome Cables Come Down Tomorrow!
Don’t forget! Last day to use the cables is October 14, tomorrow. Trail crew will be taking down the Half Dome cables on Oct. 15th and 16th.

Campground Closings: Lower Pines and Backpackers Campground
Crane Flat, Lower Pines and the Valley Backpackers campgrounds will be closing October 13th for the season. Other campgrounds: Tuolumne Meadows campground has closed for the season. It’s a Beautiful Day
I had the choice between heading into the park and going to my daughters first birthday party. Sure is a beautiful day. Well, at least the Yosemite Association Webcams are back up.
