More Bad Weather On The Way

If you’re headed up to Yosemite this weekend take lots of warm clothes, blankets, extra food and be prepared to stay a little longer than expected. Looks like this next storm is gonna be a biggie. Here’s the bulletin from NOAA.

…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING..

A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA NORTH OF KERN COUNTY FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.

A STORM WITH ORIGINS IN THE GULF OF ALASKA WILL BRING SNOW AND UNSEASONABLY COLD TEMPERATURES TO THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA LATER THIS WEEK. DURING THE PERIOD FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING…TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 TO 15 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR UP TO 2 FEET OF NEW SNOW ABOVE 7000 FEET.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW AND WIND THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL.
