The body of 6 year old Jacob Adams, who was swept into the Merced River on Wednesday, August 15 has been recovered today. The boys body was pulled from the water just 50 yards downstream from where he disappeared.
Jacob was wading in the Merced River with his ten year old brother near the Vernal Fall Footbridge when they were swept downstream. The older boy was pulled from the river by a park visitor who immediately began resuscitation efforts but was unsuccessful.
