If you’ve been thinking about heading to Yosemite over the holiday then come on. There’s a ton of stuff to do.
Grab your skis and your snowboard, air up that inner tube, Badger Pass is opening this Friday, December 18th!
Since the 1920s Badger Pass has offered visitors to Yosemite a place to don skis and snowshoes and enjoy the pristine beauty of Yosemite in the winter time. For many families it’s become a part of the traditional family holiday.
Badger offers downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding snow shoeing, snow tubing, and lessons for the beginner and intermediate. You can snow shoe or cross country ski to the Glacier Point Ski Hut and either spend a night with one of the most iconic views of Yosemite (Glacier Point) or just spend a day taking pictures.
And of course there’s still plenty to see and do in the Valley. For those who don’t want to ski head to the Curry Village Ice Rink for ice skating right in the shadow of Half Dome.
It’s a great time to be going to Yosemite!

Ooo- snow tubing? Cool! I’m heading to Yosemite for 4 days over New Years to do snow shoeing, but didn’t realize snow tubing was available, too. What sites have open areas for tubing? And can tubes be rented?
