I get a lot of people asking about interesting places around Yosemite and when I suggest places outside the park they immediately ask with some trepidation how long their $20 entrance fee is good for. You’re in luck. Your $20 entrance fee entitles you to leave and enter the park as many times as you like for 7 days as long as you keep the receipt you’re given at the entrance kiosk and prominently display it on your windshield.
So don’t worry if you decide to day trip outside the park to one of the local communities. In fact, you should go check out some of the great restaurants and eateries around the park. Your tummy will thank you.
