If you’re coming from Fresno and headed to Yosemite Valley or if you’re staying at the Tenaya Lodge or in Oakhurst of Fishcamp you may have to do some creative route planning today. Highway 41 is closed from Wawona Road to Bridalveil Fall due to trees on the roadway from high winds overnight. Clearing will begin this morning. Please call 209-372-0200 and press 1 and 1 again if you had initially planned on entering the park via Highway 41 or to find out information about other routes into Yosemite National Park.
Ice and snow may exist on park roadways and you may be required to use tire chains. Be sure you have chains in your car before heading into the park. Not all surrounding communities may have tire chains available in the size your vehicle needs.
