One of our favorite local Yosemite photographers is doing a new project and could really use your help.

Edie Howe is working on a fine art book and is looking for donations to help sponsor the book. Titled “Ancients on the Edge of Forever”, the book will photographically document the ancient Bristlecone Pines located in the White Mountains. The Bristlecone Pines are thought to be the oldest living things on Earth with some trees almost 5,000 years old.

If you’re interested in helping Edie out you can check out her project over on kickstarter.com. For a donation of $10 you will receive a copy of the book in ebook format. A $30 donation gets you an 8×12 print of an image from the book on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper. A $70 donation gets you a 13×20 print from the book on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper. For $120 you will receive a printed proof of the book signed by the author.

Donations will be used to cover travel expenses, equipment and printing costs.
