Dave, one of our loyal readers, sent me a wave asking how he can tell if there’s snow on the Valley Floor.
The answer is simple, check out the Yosemite Association webcam looking out over the meadow by the Ahwahnee. It’s got an awesome view and has great resolution. By looking at the trees on the North side of the valley you can get an idea if the snow is sticking when it’s snowing and by looking at the cover over the meadow you can tell if it’s melting away (look for the grass in the meadow showing through the snow).
Thanks for the Wave, Dave!
By the way, if you’re a loyal reader and want to try Google Wave, send me an email. I’ve got a couple of invites left. You can reach us at info@yosemiteblog.com.
