Tioga Road progress for April 28, 2009
I know you guys have been eagerly awaiting this so here it is, the most recent update on the plowing of the Tioga Road. Starting Location: 25.1 miles from Crane Flat Gate Ending Location: 26 miles from Crane Flat Gate (May Lake Turnoff). Distance plowed today: .9miles Average Snow depth: 4.5ft.

Plowing Updates for April 20th 2009
Tioga Road: Start: Crane Flat End: 7 miles past Crane Flat (just beyond South Fork bridge) Miles plowed today: 7 miles Average snow depth: 4 feet Glacier Point Road: Opening on Friday, May 1, conditions permitting. Plowing Begins on Glacier Point Road – No Word on Tioga Road
Snow removal operations have begun on the Glacier Point Road. No word yet on the Tioga Road but I’d guess sometime soon after this storm passes. Lots of snow melting in the high country due to the beautiful spring weather we’ve been having.

Tioga Pass Closed Due to Snow
Tioga Pass closed today due to snow and ice. All other park roads are open at this time but with more rain and snow expected this weekend expect more closures and possibly the requirement of chains.
