Can You Help Find A Missing Hiker In Yosemite?

Yosemite National Park is asking the public for help in locating a missing person in the Hetch Hetchy area.

Michael Ficery, was reported missing on June 21st, 2005, two days after his wilderness permit expired. Ficery was last seen on June 15, 2005 on the trail to the Tiltill Valley near the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. His planned itinerary included Rancheria Falls, Tiltill Mountain, Lake Vernon, Beehive, and back to Hetch Hetchy. His backpack was found near Tilltill Mountain, outside his previously planned route.

Ficery is described as a 51-year-old Caucasian male, 5%u201910%u2019%u2019 tall, weighing approximately 165 pounds. He is described as having shoulder length grey hair, and may possibly have a beard. Ficery is often observed wearing a tee shirt with the sleeves ripped off, and will most likely be wearing an old ripped pink scarf.
